Article: Zambia 2006 safari
While we had been fortunate to have excellent sightings on our previous safaris, we felt that we had not seen as many Leopard as we would have liked (who has?!?!). So, when it came time to plan our next photo safari, we made it a top priority to find and photograph the most elusive of African big cats.
The plan was simple: we teamed up with wildlife enthusiasts each with over 10 years of African safari and photography experience, further upped the ante in terms of Canon digital SLRs and telephoto lenses and then gave ourselves several days in top camps in the South Luangwa National Park of Zambia, a wildlife paradise with among the highest density of leopards in the world. It seemed like a recipe for success!
You can find out how the trip unfolded - and whether we were able to get the notoriously secretive Leopard to comply with our wishes - by reading the 6-page, 18 photo article published in T3 magazine which we wrote while Deep in the Heart of Leopard Country.
