These safari photos were taken in Nairobi, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Shaba National Reserve, the Masai Mara Game Reserve and Amboseli National Park of Kenya, in December 2006 to January 2007. 

This was a most special way to celebrate Christmas and the New Year!  After enjoying Christmas Eve and a Christmas lunch in Nairobi, we spent several days in Northern Kenya, where we saw several species unique to the region.  This was followed by several days in the famous Masai Mara and then in Amboseli - the land of Big Tuskers in the shadow of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.  An article describing this trip can be found in our blog.
