These safari photos were taken in the Linyanti, Okavango Delta and Moremi Reserve of Botswana in January 2004.  As a first photo safari, it certainly began with a bang: before our first game drive we saw a pack of 18 Wild Dog by the watering hole across our tent.  We followed the pack on our first game drive, during which they not only led us to our first Cheetah sighting... but also harassed the Cheetah which they forced back into a defensive position along the thick brush of the Linyanti Channel! 

Our time in the Jao Concession of the Okavango produced a heart-stopping Elephant mock charge and a close range Leopard sighting.  Finally, Mombo Camp and the Moremi Reserve more than lived up to the reputation of hosting an incredible abundance and diversity of wild life. 

Photos were also taken in Capetown, the Cape of Good Hope and in the picturesque winelands of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.  A further description of this memorable safari can be found in our blog.
